That's why Subaru and its retailers, like us, partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® (LLS) and their local hospital or cancer treatment center to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by retailers and Subaru customers in their stores, to support patients facing cancer. Through our partnership with LLS, we've supported nearly 350,000 cancer patients nationwide. We're proud to be LLS's largest automotive donor.
Subaru and its retailers, like us, are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning(R) by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are needed to help students thrive in the classroom. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru and its retailers will have supported more than 470,000 students nationwide and are proud to be their largest corporate supporter.
Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home. That's why Subaru and its retailers, like us, partner with a local animal shelter every October to provide direct financial assistance and host adoption events to help animals find loving homes. Through our partnership with local and national organizations, we have donated over $51 million, which has supported the adoption, rescue, transport, and health of over 420,000 animals. Hadwin White helped our local Humane Society host a Pet Adoption that focused on the older and disabled dogs as part of Subaru's Make a Dogs Day event. We had great weather while plenty of people came out to see their wonderful furry friends. These wonderful dogs were able to get some fresh air, exercise and some love from new people. Hopefully the assets provided as part of this will help our local Humane Society find many more loving furever homes for the pawesome pups.
Hadwin White was beyond proud and humbled to volunteer to help out escorting a local child to his Make a Wish Send off event! He had no idea anything was going on. His whole family was transported in style by Hadwin White and escorted by local Police Officers. He was surprised at a local golf tournament that his wish would be granted! He kicked off the tournament and led the golf cart parade.
Hadwin White was proud to support a local middle school with the Subaru Loves Learning Donation. Hopefully this small donation will help out the teachers and students of Black Water Middle School.
Hadwin White Subaru is proud to support a local animal shelter in their fight to find loving homes for these wonderful animals. Hadwin White is always open to helping out Grand Strand Humane Society in their mission. Hadwin White spotlights GSHS as our Charity of the Month with a well deserved donation to support them in their efforts.
Hadwin-White Subaru partnered with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Tidelands Health Cancer Care Center through the Subaru Loves to Care initiative. The partnership has involved delivering blankets, patient care kits, and messages of hope to cancer patients. On July 19th, 2024, Hadwin-White Subaru personally delivered these items to patients in treatment. Together we have spread warmth, love, and relief to cancer patients and their families as part of Subaru Loves to Care®. The local staff at Hadwin-White Subaru partnered with the staff of Tidelands Health Cancer Care Center to visit and pass out blankets to patients fighting cancer. It was a memorable day of giving back to our community. Many thanks to the devoted staff at Tidelands Health Cancer Care Center who go above and beyond for all of those affected by blood cancers. Thank you, Hadwin-White Subaru for “loving to care” for our blood cancer patients and for your continued partnership!
In partnership with Subaru and Subaru Loves to Care, Hadwin White Subaru was beyond proud to provide a donation delivery of blankets to a local community Cancer Center. The patients at these facilities are fighting a difficult battle and Hadwin White Subaru truly hopes that the blankets can help provide at least a small amount of comfort and motivation to continue in their healing. The medical staff was very welcoming and appreciative of the donation and immediately started giving out the blankets to patients with warm words of encouragement.
Hadwin White Subaru is proud to support Freedom Readers as our June Charity of the month. We appreciate everything they do for our community to help our young community members increase their literacy skills. By increasing literacy skills, this opens up many doors for the future and hopefully leads them down the right path. With a video highlighting their contributions as well as a monetary donation, we sincerely hope this will be able help them continue their efforts.
The local Meals on Wheels chapter recently fell on some difficult time when their transportation they use to provide meals to home-bound grandmothers and grandfathers. Hadwin White was glad to be able to help them out with a donation of a van for them to continue their mission in our community. Now with the new transportation, they do not need to worry about caring for and providing meals to local home bound grandmothers and grandfathers.
Hadwin White is proud to continue supporting New Directions of Horry County with a monetary donation. New Directions is a local charity that is the primary provider of shelter in Horry County and the largest emergency shelter in the 13 northeastern counties of South Carolina. New Directions is the combination of three local shelters into one organization to be able to better provide for our community.

Hadwin White proudly presented our local Make A Wish partners with the 2023 Share The Love donation check. Hadwin White has contributed almost $100K to our local Make a Wish chapter over the past years. These contributions have helped grant wishes to local wish kids so they can go on their granted wish! We are looking forward to continuing our strong partnership with this wonderful charity and everything they do for wish kids and their families.
Hadwin White Subaru is proud to support the American Heart Association in their ongoing mission to fight heart disease and stroke. We have chosen the American Heart Association as our April Charity of the Month. Hopefully this recognition and support along with a monetary donation will help them at least in a small way to continue their heartfelt mission.
Hadwin White Subaru is proud to support one of Myrtle Beach's original charities supporting and assisting the homeless and impoverished in our community. Associated Charities has been in operation since the early 1950's and is a completely volunteer run charity. Hadwin White was beyond proud to submit much needed and requested children's shoes and socks to help them in their continued efforts in our community. Hopefully even a small donation provided by Subaru and Hadwin White Subaru can help them in some part to their underappreciated efforts.
Hadwin White is proud to support Fellowship of Christian Athletes as our January Charity of the month. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is touching millions of lives…one heart at a time. Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to use the powerful platform of sport to reach every coach and every athlete with the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
If there were ever a girl to steal your heart and conquer the world it would be this girl. We are so happy (and emotional) announcing our Nori girl, our miracle is ADOPTED during the month of October. This girl has overcome so much and never lost an ounce of her innocent, sweet, loving demeanor. Nori was saved from a local SC shelter where se was the ONLY remaining surviving puppy from her litter due to Parvo. This girl was left to be euthanized as a solution to her diagnosis with Parvo, but the amazing Rescue Director at All About Animals Rescue made the decision to take her from the shelter and give her a chance. Through 5 very tough months of recovery, Nori survived. There was never any shortage of love, cuddles and prayers that surrounded Nori during her time of healing and growth. Her medical bills kept adding up to a total of $5k+ out of pocket from the Rescue Group. Unfortunately, many potential adopters looked right past Nori due to a digestive condition as a result of her parvo that Nori will live with the rest of her life. After Nori's appearance on the news station and her exposure at the Subaru Love Pets event at Hadwin-White Subaru, Nori's perfect forever home was found.
Hadwin White was so happy to host another annual Make a Dog's Pet Adoption! For the second year in a row, we have partnered with All About Animals Rescue and Transport to try and find furever homes for our pawesome friends! On a day with beautiful weather, there was plenty of dogs to come and see to try and find their companion. With a mix of young, old, small and bigger dogs; there was something for everyone! Along with donations of pet food, supplies, toys and handmade quilts, our event was a wonderful success. All About Animals has had their best month ever for adoptions with possibly 45 or more dogs adopted in the month of October! Hadwin White will proudly continue to support our local shelters in their undying effort to find warm welcome homes for these dogs.
Hadwin White was proud to continue supporting our local Make-A-Wish® chapter by hosting another Wish Reveal on his birthday! As a early kick-off to Share The Love®, Hadwin White celebrated a birthday and a wish reveal for a local resident. This wonderful kid had an amazing support group of family, friends and neighbors with him for his wish reveal. We were blown away with the support for Cruz and his Cruzaders! Cruz opened a Subaru Solterra EV to reveal his electronics wish granted and enjoyed time with his and Hadwin White's extended family for a amazing wonderous day!
Our friends at Hadwin-White Subaru are once again making wishes come true! On October 2, they hosted the most amazing wish reveal and birthday celebration for wish kid Cruz, who celebrated his 12th birthday and is living with an endocrine disorder. On this special day at the retailer, the team at Hadwin-White Subaru revealed all of the goodies for Cruz to build his own gaming computer including two gaming monitors, a new processor, a microphone, speakers, and a new desk. Hadwin-White also provided all of Cruz’s favorite snacks including sushi, pizza and cupcakes! It was an incredibly meaningful day bringing together Cruz’s friends and family from across the east coast. There are no words to express our gratitude for everything Hadwin-White Subaru of Myrtle Beach does for Make-A-Wish® South Carolina and the community. When asked to help grant a wish for a local child, the Hadwin-White Subaru team was there to help make Cruz’s wish come true! Thank you to the entire Hadwin-White Subaru team for your personal dedication to making a difference in the community and lives of our wish families!
Hadwin White is beyond proud to help a local resident who continues to put others before himself. When children finished going through treatment at a local hospital, they were able to pick a toy to take home with them for finishing treatment. When this young man was only 10 going through necessary medical treatment; he wondered where all the toys came from. At that time, Colt's Closet was born to ensure that the cabinet holding the toys never went bare. For 8 years now, this wonderful young man has continued his commitment of making sure there was always toys there for kids. With help from the local community, Colt was able to hit his goal of donating 10,000 toys! Hadwin White is beyond proud to support Colt's Closet again as our Charity of the Month including a monetary donation. Hadwin White wants to show how proud we are of young Colt and how in awe we all are in his continued efforts.
Hadwin White proudly selects and supports Sav-R-Cats Adoption Center as our August Charity of the Month. Cats of all sizes and colors currently call Sav-R-Cats home. Some cats at the adoption center are very young and have never had the chance to feel the love of a family. Others were once part of a home but were abandoned for no fault of their own. Some of these cats and kittens may never leave the center. They may never find their forever home, let's help these pawesome furry guys find their furever homes!
On June 12th, blankets and children’s art kits provided by Hadwin-White Subaru were passed out at Tidelands Health in Myrtle Beach. The gifts were given out to patients coming in to receive cancer treatments at Tidelands Health. These warm and comforting fits are a great example of what Subaru Loves to Care® stands for. Thank you to everyone at Handwin-White Subaru and Tidelands Health who took time out of their days to distribute the blankets and art kits. Subaru Loves to Care® helps LLS work on our mission of curing blood cancers and improving the quality of life for patients and their families.
Patients receiving care and treatment at Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network got a warm surprise Monday. Hadwin-White Subaru, in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®, donated plush, individually wrapped blankets to patients receiving infusion treatments at Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network locations in Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet. Patients receiving chemotherapy often rely on blankets to help keep them warm during the infusion treatments. “We hope these blankets will bring comfort to patients receiving treatment at Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network and remind them that we are thinking of them and support them through their treatments.” Hadwin-White Subaru partners with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to donate blankets to the Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network through the Subaru Loves to Care® initiative every June. Patients receiving treatments Monday in Myrtle Beach were eager to unwrap the blue blankets and put them to good use as soon as they came out of the box. “Patients love these blankets. Many who received one in past years brought it with them to every treatment,” said Terry Pickett, director of cancer services at Tidelands Health. “The kind gesture means so much to our patients. We are grateful for the ongoing support of Hadwin-White Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We look forward to seeing that Subaru SUV stuffed with boxes of blankets pull up every summer.” Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network provides cancer screenings, diagnosis and a broad range of treatment services, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery. The network is a full affiliate of the MUSC Hollings Cancer Network, South Carolina’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center. The affiliation allows Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network to offer more care and treatment options close to home, as well as have greater access to groundbreaking clinical trials. Tidelands Health also is accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer.

For multiple consecutive years Hadwin White has partnered with Make A Wish as our preferred local charity for Share the Love. Hadwin White was beyond proud to present a local homeless shelter with a donation of boxes of socks. Socks are one of the most requested items in homeless shelters. Hadwin White loves to give back to our local community including bringing awareness for their causes. Hopefully the added monetary donation will help provide shelter, meals, basic needs and resources to those in crisis.
On any given night, over 800 individuals are homeless in Horry County, SC, lacking the safety, stability, and resources to get back up on their feet. New Directions of Horry County, a local sheltering organization in Myrtle Beach, SC, helps people recover from homelessness, poverty, and addiction by providing basic needs, connection to resources, and community support. As the largest provider of shelter services in Horry County, each night, we provide beds, meals, essentials, and more to up to 180 men, women, and children. Beyond shelter and basic needs, we help people change their circumstance and secure a positive solution to their crisis through housing, jobs, recovery, and reuniting with family. Through case management, peer support, and resources, we work to address underlying issues or barriers experienced by our clients - addiction, legal issues, mental illness, physical health issues, missing identifying documents, transportation, and more - helping them recover from crisis and achieve their best life possible. As Hadwin White Subaru’s nonprofit of the month, their generous financial support and donation of socks will support our efforts to meet the essential needs of those currently in crisis and create opportunities for people to recover and achieve their best life possible. Hadwin White Subaru’s generosity will directly provide for over 50 nights of shelter, meals, basic needs, resources for someone in need and the sock donations will help us give warmth and comfort to the homeless both within our shelter and on the street. Thanks to generous partners like Hadwin White Subaru, we can help more people in our community recover from a crisis of homelessness, poverty, and addiction to secure jobs, stability, housing, resources, and much more. Hadwin White found out about a local resident that had unfortunately lost a furry family friend recently. At the same time; One of Hadwin White's extended family members needed to rehome some furry friends due to unforeseen health issues. Hadwin White was able to rehome the pawesome family members to the home that had lost theirs. Thankfully we were able to help out these furry family members and both families at the same time. To be able to help out local families is just a small way of showing that Hadwin White truly cares. To know that those animals were going straight to a loving home instead of going to a shelter helped reduce the amount of stress on these animals. Hadwin White is proud to help out when we can.
Hadwin White is proud to support a great charity like Support Military Spouses for all they do for our military families. Support Military Spouses has been chosen as our January Charity of the Month to be spotlighted for the wonderful things they do as well as a donation to try to help some with their wonderful cause.
Through our partnership with Hadwin White Subaru, we hosted an adoption event the month of October. We brought 10 dogs to Hadwin White Subaru, and by the end of the event, All About Animals Rescue & Transport and Hadwin White Subaru helped one find her perfect loving home. Penny came to All about Animals Rescue & Transport as an emaciated, abused, flea infested mess who had been thrown from a truck and likely not treated much better in her life before that. When I dragged my sister out of bed at 1 AM on a Tuesday to go pick her up, we reached out to Lisa for help. I have experience with rescue dogs and have fostered for years, but I knew I was in over my head with this one. Lisa did not even hesitate to tell us to get this dog and we would make sure she was taken care of and her life would never again be what it was. Lisa had a vet appointment set up for her within the next 24 hours. Despite what she looked like, we knew she was a fighter and she was going to be okay. She turned out to be heartworm negative (truly the biggest miracle), but she had a gnarly ear infection, skin infection, and a grade 4 heart murmur as well as being obviously severely underweight and malnourished. We had our work cut out for us. Over the next three and a half months, Penny grew to be a part of my and all of AAART's family. We became regular visitors to the vet, adoption events, and Facebook posts and groups. She became healthier, braver, and more confident every day and showed us that with her goofy and silly smile. Even though Penny wormed her way into my heart right off the bat, most people aren't led to senior dogs the way Lisa and I are and we didn't have much interest in her. Until Beth reached out and everything fell into place. I spoke to Beth on the phone, FaceTimed with her to see her home, and chatted with her friends and vet to ensure Penny would be going to a place that she deserved. Beth drove a staggering 10 hours after an overnight shift as a nurse from Louisville, Kentucky all the way to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to meet and instantly fall in love with Penny's big eyes, sweet smile, and happy tail and the rest was history. Penny (whose new name is now Riley) is now living out her best best life with Beth, her husband, Pat, and her four new (rescued) siblings! She was FaceTimed while the Subaru event took place! Penny absolutely would not have made it without the hard work and dedication from Lisa and the rest of AAART.
This is always an exciting time for Make-A-Wish South Carolina as we love to celebrate the kickoff of the Subaru Share the Love Event and we are honored to be once again selected as Hometown Charity by Hadwin-White Subaru for this year’s event! To kick off the campaign, Hadwin-White was incredibly kind and generous to host local wish kid MaKayla. They went above and beyond to make her send off party extra special before she left on her wish trip to attend her favorite singer’s concert in LA. The team at Hadwin-White Subaru truly embodies a wish-granting partner and we’re beyond blessed by this partnership. Thanks again for your continued investment and we’re excited to promote the Share the Love Event as a way to get an awesome vehicle and support many wonderful community organizations. Hadwin White was beyond proud to help Make A Wish South Carolina send off another Wish Kid off on their wish. She has been wanting to go to a concert for a long time now. Make a Wish helped her make her wish come true! Along with Dave and Busters and the CCU Chi Omega's; we all had an awesome time! She was completely surprised and so happy with her wish send off! We all hope you had an amazing time with your family at the concert you have been so patiently waiting for!
Hadwin White was proud to partner with a local no kill Pet Rescue and Transport for a Make a Dog's Day Pet Adoption. We had some pawesome furever friends with us hoping to find their furever home. All About Animals brought puppies, grown dogs; some small, some bigger for potential adoptions. We had some dogs that have not had the easiest life but definitely ready for their furever home. Even one of Hadwin White's employees adopted one of these awesome doggies!
Hadwin White Subaru was proud to partner with Whittemore Middle School and Subaru Loves Learning to show some appreciation to the teachers for everything they do. Many teachers provide supplies to their students using funds from their own pocket. We all know teachers are a highly underappreciated profession. Teachers at Whittemore Middle School were also given personal messages from the employees at Hadwin White with words of appreciation and motivation. We were humbled and proud to be able to provide some highly needed supplies to these teachers to help them continue to teach and mold our country's next generation!
Hadwin-White Subaru is proud to partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to donate nearly 100 plush blankets to Tidelands Health to try and help keep patients warm and comfortable during their treatments and recovery from blood cancer. Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network patients received a warm gift and heartwarming words of support from a local family-owned business. Employees at the Conway dealership also sent handwritten notes to patients offering heartwarming messages including, “Keep fighting,” “Thinking of you,” “Stay strong” and more. “Sometimes you don’t realize how much impact something small can actually do,” said Jason Bogart, internet manager at Hadwin-White Subaru. “Little things can just bring a smile to people’s faces, and it’s amazing what a smile can do. We hope this small gesture helps these patients and their recoveries.” The dealership donated the blankets through the Subaru Loves to Care program. The blankets will be given to patients receiving treatment for blood cancer at Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network locations in Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet and Georgetown. Patients receiving chemotherapy often rely on blankets to help keep warm during treatment. “Blankets are always in high demand in our cancer treatment centers. Our patients will appreciate these warm blankets, and the wishes of love and support behind them will mean even more. The handwritten sentiments are so valuable to our patients,” said Terry Pickett, director of cancer services at Tidelands Health. “We send our sincere gratitude to Hadwin-White Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for thinking of our patients and providing this heartfelt donation of blankets and well wishes.”

Make-A-Wish South Carolina is beyond grateful for being selected as hometown charity by Hadwin-White Subaru for their 2021 Share the Love campaign. To celebrate the campaign's success, they recently hosted a send off party for 8-year-old Calvin and presented our chapter a check for $16,500! We are incredibly grateful for their continued generosity and support to help grant life-changing wishes for local children with critical illnesses. Freedom Readers is an after school and summer literacy program that was designed and implemented to support families in low-income areas as they assisted their children in achieving their academic goals in reading.
Hadwin White was unbelievably happy to be able to send a local wish kid off on his wish with his family. Hadwin White conducted a wish release send off with Make A Wish SC and the Chi Omega's of Coastal Carolina University for a local wish kid and his family before their once in a lifetime trip! Hadwin White and Make A Wish presented him with some gifts to be able to enjoy when he returns from his trip with his family. He was overjoyed to have such an unforgettable experience!

Hadwin White is proud to help support Boy Scout Troop 887 in their Annual Golf Tournament to help raise funds for their yearly activities. They are a young troop hoping to help young boys with life skills.

Despite a unusual year with vehicle shortages; we still had a wonderful Share The Love campaign with our local Make a Wish Chapter. Hadwin White truly hopes that the contributions from Share the Love will make a lasting impact and help Make a Wish grant more wishes for these wonderful kids.

In addition to hosting adoption events, collecting our most needed wish list items and sharing our stories their team is constantly encouraging our mission. Every year, we look forward to October when we partner for Subaru Loves Pets month and Make a Dog's Day. It always brings about some amazing adoptions and this year was no different! Gideon came to GSHS after his owner passed away and none of the family members were willing to take him in. To say that he did not adjust to shelter life well would be putting it very mildly. None of our staff was able to handle Gideon without him snarling, growling and biting. He was terrified, shut down and completely failing. One day, our volunteer Michelle took a chance and tried to walk Gideon. She entered his cage confidently and got him right out. She fell head over heels immediately.....Gideon, not so much. Michelle came to walk Gideon almost every day and they quickly developed a special bond. She wanted to take Gideon home to foster and work with him more but there was a problem. Michelle and her wife have four young children at home and several other animals. We were all beyond confident that it would not be a good fit for this senior, snarly chi. Well.... we were all wrong. Gideon went home with Michelle and instantly fell in love with her daughter Joella. They were inseparable. Over the weeks that followed their love for one another only continued to grow. Michelle had made it clear from the time that she took Gideon home that this was just a foster - not an adoption. As October rolled around, the GSHS team knew that Gideon was one of our underdogs that was perfect to promote for the Subaru Loves Pets month and especially our Make a Dog's Day adoption event. Somehow though, the idea of Gideon leaving their household had started to break the hearts of everyone in Michelle's house, especially her daughter Joella. The family officially adopted Gideon (no affectionately called Giddy) on October 11th when they realized that they woke up every morning dreading a call from our adoption counselor to let them know that someone had submitted an approved application the day before. We are forever grateful that our partnership with Hadwin-White Subaru helped show this amazing family that their underdog foster had already found his forever home with them. Giddy is right where he has always belonged... in Joella's arms.

On any given night in the US, more than 580,466 people find themselves homeless. 4,287 of those individuals live in South Carolina, 807 in Horry County. New Directions of Horry County helps people recover from homelessness, poverty, and addiction by providing basic needs, connection to resources, and community support. As the largest provider of shelter services in Horry County, each night, we provide beds, meals, essentials, and more to up to 180 men, women, and children. Beyond shelter and basic needs, we help people change their circumstance and secure a positive solution to their crisis through housing, jobs, recovery, and reuniting with family. Through case management, peer support, and resources, we work to address underlying issues or barriers experienced by our clients - addiction, legal issues, mental illness, physical health issues, missing identifying documents, transportation, and more - helping them recover from crisis and achieve their best life possible. Each year, we host a fashion show and fundraising event, Compassion Through Fashion to raise support and awareness for our organization. This year, we were honored to have the support of Hadwin White Subaru as a Versace Sponsor of the event. Their sponsorship played a role in the success of Compassion Through Fashion through which over $91,000 was raised for our organization! The Garden City resident, who is battling pancreatic and liver cancer, was undergoing chemotherapy at Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network at Murrells Inlet when representatives from a local vehicle dealership and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society stopped by. They delivered 70 gift bags containing blankets, stuffed animals and craft kits for Tidelands Health cancer patients..“It makes me feel good that people care,” said Breno, who said he’s been very pleased with the care he’s received through the Tidelands Health Cancer Care Network. “If I have to be somewhere, this is a very comfortable place to be and everyone is very friendly.”The bags were donated as part of a national partnership between Subaru and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the “Subaru Loves to Care” program. The Hadwin-White Subaru dealership in Conway sponsored the gift bags given to patients at Tidelands Health.“We just want people to know we are thinking about them,” said Jordan Hadwin, general manager of Hadwin-White. “Certainly, cancer has affected all of our lives to some degree. We just want to bring a little cheer in what is a difficult time.” Timothy Laugh, director of cancer services at Tidelands Health, said the health system was grateful to be chosen as a site for the gift bag donations. Hadwin White was proud to host another Pet Adoption with the Grand Strand Humane Society. We had potential adopters there before the Humane Society even got there. There was a total of 9 cats and dogs that found their forever homes! Almost all the pets found their new families. Hadwin White was proud to cover the cost of adoptions for these furry pets. Such a fun and hopeful afternoon with Hadwin-White Subaru delivering blankets, activity boxes, and brightly colored hope cards to children at MUSC Children's Hospital on 7b and at Hemoc/Oncology Floor at Rutledge Tower on July 13th, 2017! 2017 Girl of the Year Kalaila Martin, who has only 4 months of treatment left before she hopes to be ringing the bell, led the way and brightened so many sweet faces! Chase Hadwin from Hadwin-White Subaru join Kalaila in the delivery, as a childhood cancer survivor himself, he and Kalaila made a great team! Such a special moment as the children and parents learned more about not only Subaru and LLS delivering warmth and hope but more importantly that as they sat their with their son or daughter going through treatment that two success stories stood in front of them providing encouragement and hope! Each interaction with the children visited was so special, one little boy undergoing leukemia treatment immediately wanted to cuddle up with his blanket and another sweet little girl Victoria loved her brightly colored Message of Hope! Thank you to Subaru for helping to support the patients and give them a moment to focus on something a little more lighthearted while receiving treatment! Our local Honored Hero Rachel Darling assisted two weeks ago in the delivery of Subaru Loves to Care blankets to the adults receiving cancer treatments at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. She had decided that the adults deserved some love and support, she was concerned that the children receiving treatment receive more attention and she wanted to share some of her spirit and joy with the adults as well! Well yesterday the Subaru Loves to Care program came full circle, as we receive blankets from another SC Subaru dealer, Hadwin-White Subaru and these blankets were delivered to the 7B unit at MUSC Children's Hospital where children are receiving inpatient cancer treatments. Rachel is receiving treatment there currently and yesterday we were able to present Rachel with her own blanket to help keep her warm and provide comfort over these next 5 days in the hospital. She was over the moon and couldn't stop talking about how warm and soft it was. Catherine Mattox, Social Worker for Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at MUSC said, "The blankets went into immediate good use. Everyone is nice and snuggled up today!" Thank you Hadwin-White Subaru!

Throughout the month of April, we are hosting an E-Waste Recycling Event in our store to collect unwanted electronics. We've arranged to work with a company who will responsibly collect, re-purpose, and recycle your electronic waste. Help us protect our environment. Just show up with your E-Waste and we'll do the rest! The first 50 customers who contribute will receive a complementary environmental badge of ownership. We will accept: LCD Monitors, Cell Phones, Laptops, Tablets, CRTs up to 40", Video Games/Consoles, Fax Machines, DVD/VCR Players, Printers, Computer Peripherals, Switches/Routers, Cords and Wires.
Hadwin-White Subaru selected the Grand Strand Humane Society(GSHS) as our local Subaru Share The Love charity this year!Subaru customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru were able to choose the GSHS or one of four national charities for Subaru to donate $250 to on their behalf. The GSHS is committed to the care and humane treatment of all homeless and abandoned animals. They do not euthanize healthy, adoptable animals. They are also committed to finding caring and loving homes for their animals. In addition they work to educate our community about responsible pet ownership and to investigate and attempt to prevent cruelty to all animals. They strive to provide cost-effective adoption rates as well as spay/neutering and preventative healthcare services. Donations are so important to assist the GSHS with all that they do to help animals in our community and Hadwin-White was honored to sponsor a Subaru Share The Love "Santa Paws" event on December 22, 2014. Santa was on hand to take photos with our guests' pets or children and pups from the GSHS were on hand to greet everyone and make connections that could lead to a loving home. In addition to the contribution from Subaru, Hadwin-White also selected GSHS as our December charity for our Hadwin-White Cares Campaign and $1,000 was donated and awareness promos for GSHS were aired in December. Hadwin-White looks forward to continuing our partnership with GSHS for many years to come!
