Community Involvement Highlights:

Hadwin-White wants the community to know we care! In addition to our other charitable donations and sponsorships throughout the year, we will be selecting one charity per month to receive a $1000 donation. These local charities need support, so in addition to the donation we will be creating tv promos to help bring awareness to these worthy causes.                                March 2016 Charity: Camp Coker, donate at:http://gofundme.com/tents-for-camp                                    Camp Coker serves scouts throughout Horry County and is steeped in over 85 years of tradition! Camp Coker provides a wide range of outdoor opportunities and takes pride in its abundance of camp spirit and fun! They are now accepting donations to buy desperately needed tents.

Big Paws Canine Academy's goal is to become the premier provider of trained assistance animals for Disabled Veterans and Former First Responders.

The Grand Strand Miracle League offers individuals with special needs the opportunity to participate in sports and recreational activities in a community-supported safe, adapted and encouraging environment.

Meals on Wheels of Horry County is a Christian based organization providing home-delivered meals and fellowship to the homebound, elderly, and frail of Horry County. 

In light of the recent historic flooding in South Carolina, Hadwin-White selected The Red Cross: Eastern Region as our Charity Spotlight of the month. Their efforts are helping families effected by the flooding rebuild their lives.

Street Reach, a facility of New Directions, is changing lives, moving people out of homelessness through Street Reach Enterprises and their Back to Work  and Permanent Housing programs. Nearly 200 clients of Street Reach secured jobs and moved into permanent housing last year.

Carolina Boxer Rescue is dedicated to the rescue of abandoned, neglected and abused Boxer dogs.  They rescue Boxers of all ages of dogs from puppies to seniors who need homes.Visit their website to see how you can help today!

                    


August Charity: David's Blankets of Hope, donate at: http://www.davidsblankets.weebly.com

David's Blankets of Hope provides custom-made fleece blankets to children facing serious physical or health challenges. Each blanket is made using the child's favorite colors or designs and hand delivered. Over 700 blankets have been delivered to date.

 Caring In Our Lifetime is dedicated to raising funds and providing financial assistance with medical expenses to individuals in Horry and                                                                                              Georgetown counties affected by breast cancer.

                     


June Charity: The Boys and Girls Club of Conway

The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Horry County provides structured activities after school for all youth. They help prepare today's youth for tomorrow's         challenges and play a large role in helping club members stay on track to graduate from high school. 69% of children graduate high school on average, while                         members of the Boys and Girls club graduate 94% of the time! The club was selected so our donation could assist with their summer programs.

No child deserves to go hungry, which is why they are committed to fighting hunger by supplying area schools with nutritious, self-serve food items to be provided to children in need during the school year and summer months. 

 

 

For 2015 Hadwin-White is proud to announce the success of the Subaru Share the Love Event. For each Subaru sold from Nov. 19-Jan. 2 customers were able to select one of five charities for a $250 donation to be made on their behalf. The Grand Strand Humane Society was selected as our local charity. We are so excited for the tremendous donations that will be awarded to the Grand Strand Humane Society by Subaru and to all of the worthwhile charities. Donations totals exceeded $10,000! We also held a Santa Paws event to raise awarness for animal adoptions and had Santa on hand to share in the festivities!

 The Grand Strand Humane Society makes a huge difference in the lives of our furry friends. They provide shelter for homeless and abused animals and help to find them happy homes. They do not euthanize animals and make it their mission to find each and every one a place to call home. They also work to educate the community about responsible pet ownership and provide pet health services.

 The Shepherd's Table of Conway, SC provides a free meal every week day evening. They are a community of people, who unselfishly come together for the common goal of expressing God's love while feeding those in need.
 


September Charity: Special Needs Family Fun Day  
Horry County Disabilities and Special Needs Association and the Lee Family have joined forces to sponsor the 14th annual Special Needs Family Fun Day to be held October 11, 2014. This event brings families together to enjoy activities geared toward the special needs individual.





August Charity: Habitat for Humanity of Horry County, donate at:

 Habitat for Humanity of Horry County builds simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with those in need. The homes are then sold to those partners at no profit and with a no-interest mortgage. Volunteers provide most of the labor and individual, church, and corporate donors provide funding and materials to build Habitat houses. Partner families themselves invest hundreds of hours of sweat equity - building their own homes and homes of others. Their mortgage payments go into a revolving fund for Habitat and is used to build more houses in our community.

 Tara Hall is a long-term residential home and school that accepts neglected, troubled, and abused boys. Whether they have been taken away from abuse and neglect or sent away from their homes because of their unmanageable behavior, at Tara Hall they come together as brothers and leave as changed young men.

Their mission is to improve reading skills in low wealth communities by providing one-to-one literacy tutoring, free books for home libraries, and an inspiring, high-energy learning environment.

The Fidelis Foundation is a faith-based program that opened in February of 2010 and currently works with several agencies in Horry County to provide Equine Assisted Learning for youth who have experienced traumatic events in their lives. They provide support and encouragement to these children to help them gain confidence and trust in themselves and others.




March charity: Honor Flight of Myrtle Beach, donate at

Honor Flight Grand Strand/Myrtle Beach is a local chapter of the Honor Flight Network. Volunteers are dedicated to honoring local WWII Veterans who fly free of charge to Washington, DC. They tour the WWII Memorial built in their honor, Arlington National Cemetery and other historic landmarks. A hero's welcome home will await their return to Myrtle Beach.

Quarter 4 2013: Hadwin-White selected the SC chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation as our quarterly charity. These donations help Make-a-Wish grant wishes that transform the lives of kids with life-threatening medical conditions, forever.

In addition: Subaru Sponsors the Share the Love Event from Nov. 21,2013-Jan. 2, 2014 and they allow the purchasing customer to choose from one of 5 charities to receive a $250 donation! Subaru estimated total donations to be over $35 million this year!!!

Quarter 3 2013: Hadwin-White selected The Grand Strand Humane Society. The donations will help dogs and cats receive heartworm medication so they can recover and become eligible for adoption. We love our furry friends and want to help these animals find a happy home! Come by and visit our resident pup, Max. You can find him in our showroom during
working hours!

Quarter 2 2013: Hadwin-White selected The Red Cross of Horry County as the quarterly charity in light of the destructive fire that effected the Windsor Green Apartments in Carolina Forest. Our thoughts are with the many effected by this tragedy and we support the Red Cross in helping these members of our community through this difficult time!

Quarter 1 2013: Hadwin-White selected Meals on Wheels of Horry County as the quarterly charity and was able to donate over 80 weeks worth of meals for members of our community in need of a helping hand. We commend the volunteers at Meals On Wheels who donate their time to provide this valuable service!


For 2013 Hadwin-White will be selecting a local charity each quarter and will be donating $25 per new car sold to their worthy cause! Hadwin-White is honored to support the community that has supported us for over 25 years!
